Iggy Pop Re-Records "The Passenger" for New Zealand Broadband Company (Video)

In an advertisement for Orcon, a New Zealand-based broadband company, Iggy Pop re-recorded his excellent 1977 track, "The Passenger," over Skype with a bunch of Kiwis to show off how awesome Orcon's connections speeds are. The only problem? The idea is better on paper; having nine musicians playing in different locations is bound to sound like a mess, like this totally does (though the flautist totally shreds). As a sidebar: Does Iggy even own any shirts? Dude won't even put one on for an advertisement he's getting paid for. [Pitchfork]
