Ice-T vs. Soulja Boy: The plot thickens

Just when it seemed the Ice-T and Soulja Boy beef was winding down, a video has surfaced that shows T dissing Soulja Boy way back in October (plus he takes shots at Lil Mama and Mims as a bonus).

T claimed that when he originally dissed Soulja Boy last month, it was because someone egged him on while recording the mixtape on which T's statements appeared. He was obviously lying, as this video proves.

So for now, it seems like the Soulja Boy and Ice-T squabble may not be over. [Idolator]

"If dude don't like it. I'll punch him in the face."
I think this thing should be deaded by now especially since this is an old clip, but this video was awesome.

At first, I admonished Ice-T for 'picking a fight' with Soulja Boy (who knew?) via YouTube, but then I realized something:

This is just constructive criticism towards an entire era of hip-hop that has become relatively weak to a point where veterans like Ice-T are compelled to come forth and let the greater public know.

Soulja Boy is just showcasing is unabashed youth and immaturity by responding the way he did which, in turn, caused what we're experiencing now...

bri4579, I'm sure nobody who listens to Soulja boy (or most comercial rap for that matter) would have any idea what you just said. It's a huge understatement to say that hip hop is in a slump or a rut right now, but Ice-T should have kept his mouth shut regardless. Anybody who has paid any attention to today's 'rap' knows it's all pop and urban RnB wattered down trash with no soul. So while Ice was right to diss commercial rappers like Soulja boy, nobody is going to care because the dude hasn't put out a significant record in a decade.

Ice-T's remarks toward Soulja Boy was both right and wrong,Ice T was right because there are some f*cked up songs that don't make sense,Ice-T was wrong because Soulja Boy is a teen therefore you cannot stoop to his level and "Punch Him In His Face",I'm from the state that's the shape of a gun (Florida) and in da Souf when we beef we interact by action not words. So to be clear I am a rapper, but I don't crank dances, however my music is a combination of LIL' WAYNE AND TALIB KWELI STYLE.For the most part I'm not hating on Soulja Boy nor Ice-T because 1:Soulja Boy is the Dance Mogul of Hip-Hop and he gettin' money, and 2: Ice-T is a MC of those early dayz so dat beef is uncalled for,I'll talk to both them when I see or speak to them.

Adrian, excuse me. Rap, specifically mainstream rap, is the bane of hip-hop's existence. Fortunately, you don't have to be an adolescent to realize that. Granted, Ice-T was completely out of his mind to make a YouTube response to Soulja Boy, but you have to admit, his points were quite valid...
