Sorry, I was channeling Stipe singing "Man on the Moon" there for a second. And he was kind of channeling Elvis on that song, no?
Anyway, to the main point of this post: Ex-Mott the Hoople lead singer Ian Hunter will release his next solo album, Shrunken Heads, on May 15. It will be his first album on Yep Roc. Hunter claims the album will be more American sounding and even take up themes of American politics. Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy lends vocals to three of the album's songs: "Guiding Light," "Fuss About Nothing," and "Words (Big Mouth)."
For now, Hunter only has a small number of West Coast tour dates in June. Check those out after the jump...
