House and Parish "Standardesque"Texas Is the Reason "Back and to the Left"
This would have been the super group of all super groups for me at a point during my early college years. Actually, I remember getting ridiculed by my friends too much to publicly state my love of the Promise Ring, so replace them for Sunny Day Real Estate and you have my super group. Anyways, it looks like members of these emo super bands of the mid-late 90s have come together to form a new band House and Parish. Check out the one track above although comparing it to Texas Is the Reason's biggest song is like an apples to oranges comparison. Two more tracks available over at Brooklyn Vegan.

Promise Ring was good until they got panned by Pitchfork. What have these dudes been doing for the past 10 years?
