Musical menagerie of acts lined up for Ethan Hawke film soundtrack

Cat Power, Feist, Bright Eyes, the Black Keys (pictured), and Norah Jones are among the acts slated to contribute to the soundtrack of the Ethan Hawke-directed film The Hottest Summer. They'll all be singing the songs of Jessie Harris, best known for writing Jones' super smash "Don't Know Why." Harris is co-producing the picture, wrote its score, and will perform three of his own songs. The soundtrack is slated for an August 7 release, while the film is scheduled to hit theaters August 24.
