And so the inevitable rock 'n roll lifecycle has claimed another victim. Philly's screamo five-piece Hot Cross, whose drummer Greg Drudy was also the original drummer for Interpol and founded Level Plane Records, has officially called it quits. It seems like a strange time for Hot Cross to disband - the band was gearing up for a tour in support of its second full-length Risk Revival, released in February. No clear reason for the breakup has surfaced, but according to an obituary left on the band's Myspace page, "for some of us, the time had come to hang it up." We'll miss you boys.
