XLR8R reports that Hot Chip will be the next act to curate an edition of !K7's DJ Kicks series. Past helmers have included Four Tet, Annie, and others. Expected to hit stores May 21, the compilation has Hot Chip pulling in an eclectic array of tracks from the likes of Tom Ze, New Order, Audion, and Joe Jackson. The 24-song set closes out with Ray Charles' "Mess Around." Remember the scene in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles with that song in it? Comedy gold. John Candy, you are truly missed.
