On April 7 (April 6 in the U.K.),Vagrant will release Positive Rage, a CD/DVD combo album that captures The Hold Steady where they are at their best--onstage in front of a sweaty crowd. The DVD features fan interviews and follows the band on tour behind 2006's Boys and Girls in America, while the CD contains the set from a 2007 Halloween at the Metro in Chicago.

The trailer for Positive Rage is above, and it features snippets of the band performing live, concert promoters losing their cool ("I'm usually a harsh critic, but that was outrageous" says one woman), and fans talking about the band's rock 'n' roll salvation.
