Craig Finn of The Hold Steady recently told NME that most of the material for their next album is already in the can and will be recorded probably in December. Finn added that they've demoed about 14 songs and they've been previewing some of them while on tour with Art Brut this month and most of November.
"It sounds like the rest of our stuff. It's hard for me to tell what's different," he told NME. "I haven't finished the lyrics at all." Judging by one of the new songs they played recently, "Ask Her For Adderall," it seems Finn still enjoys songs about girls and some new upper drug.
