The Hold Steady head back to the studio

After ceding 2007 to the actual E-Street Band, The Hold Steady is tuning up its own power riffs for a return to the studio in 2008. Guitarist Tad Kubler said that the band would be working producer John Agnello and had already booked sessions in January and February. The as yet untitled album follows the band’s 2006 breakthrough set, Boys and Girls in America. For those looking for a little Hold Steady goodness in the interim, NPR has a full audio stream of the band’s November 20 concert with Art Brut. [Aversion]
