The Hives ready new album, team up with Timbaland

Via: Punk News
The Hives are currently in the studio working on the follow-up to 2004's Tyrannosaurus Hives. Not too many details are available on the upcoming album. However, the Swedish rockers recently teamed with Timbaland for a track on his upcoming solo album. Regarding the release of that song tentatively titled "Put It On Me", the Hives stated "We do not at this time know when it will be out but Timbaland is famous so you will notice when it is time."

I'm psyched about the new album. Don't let me down Hives!

Goddamn, I've missed them! I hope they remember to wash their suits the next time they tour so that they don't get them moldy and have to buy non-Colonel Sanders-style ones. Wuv.

These guys get no respect. Everyone talks about The Strokes and The White Stripes as the "the" bands that lived up to the hype, but The Hives put out really good, entertaining records.

This is one album I've been anticipating for a long time.

I thought T-Hives was pretty mixed, but I'm waiting in anticipation of this nonetheless. They are very funny, too.

I'm surprised Timbaland went with them on his album too. I remember he had some questionable rock act on his album, so I was suprised to see the Hives as working with him.

I think each of their albums gets slightly less exciting than the last, but they started at a pretty high point to begin with. I loved "Diabolic Scheme" and hope they try something equally as new for them.
