Back in January we told you the legendary David Bowie was in charge of putting together the lineup for the first HighLine Festival in New York City. At that point, the only person playing we knew about was Daniel Johnston, with rumors circulating that Bowie was trying to get Arcade Fire, TV on the Radio, and Secret Machines. Well, two out of three ain't bad (no TVOTR out of those three). What's even better? How about that Air, Deerhoof, Laurie Anderson, the Polyphonic Spree, Bang on a Can, and a few other musical acts are now slated to appear? The fest will also feature comedy from Ricky Gervais and a Spanish film retrospective. HighLine is sponsored by trendy store du jour H&M. Tickets go on sale this Saturday. Head over to the fest's website for info on how to get them and complete details on the shows.
