Matt Groenig, that guy who does The Simpsons and Futurama, curated All Tomorrow’s Parties in Minehead, U.K., this year. He drew pictures of the musicians that played. These are two of them, inspired by Sonic Youth. The Guardian talked to Joanna Newsom, another of Groening’s subjects, about it:
“Holy shit! I’m a Simpson! I made it!” She giggles, and there is a trace of that famous squeak. “I don’t need a damn Grammy or anything. That’s the sort of magic all this madness is for.”
