Hercules and Love Affair to Release Mix CD

File this in the library next to DJ-Kicks: Hercules and Love Affair's Andy Butler is set to release what amounts to a 2-disc DJ set on July 13. Renaissance Recordings' excuse to get H&LA to round up a bunch of great dance tracks is actually the first in a series, according to the label; Pitchfork has spokesman Geoff Oakes on record saying so:

"Sidetracked has been developed to show the other side of bands from the electronic genre who can, and do, DJ. It's an opportunity to offer a diverse, unique series, which makes Hercules and Love Affair the more than perfect choice to kick-start matters."

The first disc will feature tracks by acts including Fax Yourself, Dubwise, Rainbow Team, and (yes!) Hercules and Love Affair themselves, who have contributed a brand-new song. The second will consist of unmixed versions of most of the same tracks, except the H&LA and two others.
