On Record Store Day, Sufjan Stevens and longtime collaborator, and solo artist, Rosie Thomas will issue a split-7-inch single, which finds Thomas and Stevens reimagining Thomas’ “Where Was I” on the A-side, with Stevens answering that question on the B-side with “Here I Am!”. You can hear the new version of “Where Was I,” now titled “Where Were You?” below, complete with its Stevens and Thomas Auto-Tune experiments below. The original is down there too for comparison. The change is pretty radical, in both definitions of that word. The single is out on April 21.
