You'd think Gregg Gillis's juxtaposing the Rolling Stones' "Paint It, Black" with Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow" would be unlikely enough, right? Well, not if OG Ron C has anything to do with it. In 2010, the mash-up messiah Gillis, aka Girl Talk, dropped his album All Day, which featured the aforementioned Khalifa/Stones joint "Triple Double," as well as samples of everything from Radiohead to the Ramones to Ol' Dirty Bastard to N.E.R.D. Now, Houston native Ron, Swishahouse Records co-founder and one of the secret ingredients behind the careers of Chamillionaire, Paul Wall, and Slim Thug, among others, has chopped-and-screwed All Day and given it a new title -- Purple All Day.
Predictably enough, it's an H-Town-centric spin on the original album, and it's probably best heard during lean binges or your other traditional screw-music-related endeavors. However, that doesn't mean it also can't be enjoyed wherever you are, and with whatever you're doing, right now. Download it here or here.
