There’s a new Hole album out titled Nobody’s Daughter, except it’s not really Hole because no one involved from the band is on the record aside from Courtney Love. But, as Love hasn’t managed to drum up much interest in her solo career, she’s grabbed back the Hole moniker, had an identity crisis, and is utilizing Twitter in a desperate attempt to draw attention to herself.
The tools may be different, but this is pretty much business as usual for Love, which is a shame because if she focused a little more on the music she might get some long overdue acclaim for the clutch of great songs she’s produced over the years. You can judge for yourself by heading over to the Spin Facebook page or the Guardian website to hear Nobody’s Daughter—both of whom are claiming to have an “exclusive” stream of the album.
