In a seemingly bizarre turn of events, Cat Power and Coldplay teamed up recently to contribute a song to Zach Braff's partially-crowdfunded movie Wish I Was Here. Named simply after the title of the film, the wistful ballad was shared today via NPR (listen here). It was produced by Coldplay and sung by Cat Power, with Chris Martin doing backup vocals.
Braff has both directed and starred in Wish I Was Here, while sharing writing credits with his brother Adam J. Braff. The movie is set to premiere in the US on July 18. Watch its official trailer below:
