Happy Mondays' Bez Arrested

After a brief stint as a fugitive (which doesn't seem to have involved any change in location, altering of his appearance or difference in routine), Happy Mondays' "dancer" Bez was arrested yesterday at a train station in London for violating the terms of a restraining order against him. Bez -- whose real name is apparently Mark Berry -- served four weeks in jail in August for strangling his former girlfriend, Monica Ward, after accusing her of stealing money from him. The latest charges leading to his apprehension involve him continuing to contact Ward, despite a court order to keep his distance, and his failure to show up for a related bail hearing.

Bez was charged by authorities with both breach of the restraining order and for "trespass on a railway." No word on the penalities he faces, but he's set to appear in court -- presumably sans maracas -- today. [Spinner]
