Apparently My Bloody Valentine’s much anticipated outing at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival earlier this year did more than just generate hype for the band’s forthcoming tour and album; it’s a primary reason why the tour happened in the first place!
Speaking to the New York Times, Shields said, “We could actually buy equipment and rehearse properly and do it really well. That put the idea into our head. Last time we toured we never had equipment. It didn’t sound right. We didn’t have control of the environment. So we were kind of excited to play the songs properly.”
So it would seem that all of you My Bloody Valentine fans owe a certain music festival a hug.
