Gza's Arrested Development Curbs His Enthusiasm

So, here’s a weird thing: founding Wu-Tang god the GZA has a development deal with the production company owned by David “The Annoying Guy From Numb3rs” Krumholtz to develop a single camera sitcom about his life. GZA as Larry David, basically. Just getting in shenanigans, going to Target or The Grammys or what have you. “How did all this cocaine get in this baby carriage?!” the GZA might say at some point.  But it’s single-camera, so he won’t be too jokey about it. You’ll really believe that he’s surprised the baby carriage is full of cocaine.

According to them,  the show, Igotchaback, will be “a half-hour single-camera comedy  for FX based loosely on the lives of legendary rap artist and Wu Tang Clan founding member GZA and his publicist Heathcliff Berru [former coworker, fyi]. The project, which Krumholtz is executive producing with an eye to star, centers on an up-and-coming music industry manager tasked with representing an aging rap star mired knee-deep in existential crisis.”
