True to form, Axl Rose has remained persona non grata since the release of his opus/dud Chinese Democracy. Turns out the band is gearing up for a stadium tour that their manager, Irving Azoff, is in the final stages of planning. If it goes down, the tour will be the first stadium tour for the people Axl is calling Guns N' Roses this week, and the group's first since 2007.
There's no word on what stadiums will be hit, but I'd have to imagine that Azoff wants the band to cut a huge swath in the American heartland to start recouping some of the $13 million that Axl wasted making Chinese Democracy. [Rolling Stone]
lol opus/dud.
Lil Wayne > Guns AND Roses
50 Cent > Lil Wayne > Guns > Roses
Turdburglars > Nickelback > Guns AND Roses > T.I.
Hamburgler > Tudrburglars > Grimace
Chinese Democracy is a fantastic album. Plu the Best Buy deal already recouped that 13 million.
its interesting to see you try to pass off your meaningless glibness as journalism but try getting some facts straight.
Most of the line-up of the new GNR has been stable for years. Tommy Stinson, Dizy Reed, Chris Pittman, Richard Fortus, Brain Mantia plus of course Axl have been together a long time. Rob Thal is a permanent member too. Either Frank or Brain may tour with the band. NO problems there. The only question is of finding a replacement for Finck.
Next time, try doing some research instead of scribbling gibberish.
jlena
jlena, I couldn't agree more with you.
This album really stinks.
I'm glad you feel the same way as Andross and I.
Yes Jlena. I appreciate the words of encouragement urging me to continue my serious journalistic endeavors. Thank you much.
