Gucci Mane Says He Has Written 50-60 Songs Since Going To Jail

Just when you thought it was impossible for you to be buried in anymore Gucci Mane material there comes this: Gucci recently claimed in an interview from behind bars that he has finished something like 50-60 songs since being locked up. He refutes Tupac's claims of jail being soul-crushing and making it impossible to write: Gucci says he's calm in there, and he's able to settle down and write.

AP: Rappers who have been jailed in the past like Tupac has said it was difficult to jot down lyrics while in prison. How has writing songs been for you?

 

Gucci Mane: Unfortunately I’ve been to jail a couple times. Anytime I come in it’s difficult to make music, write songs. This time, I have a peace within me. I’ve been so excited to get out. I’ve written about 50 to 60 songs.

That number seems crazy, but when you remember how many "brrs" and "Gucci's" are thrown into Gucci's lyrics, that number starts to seem low. I just wonder how many albums Gucci can pump out before he inevitably has to do another stretch. That dude can't keep himself out of the orange jumpsuit. [Real Talk]
