Guardian writer tracks down all 43 former members of the Fall, and barely lives to tell about it

Dave Simpson’s story “Weren’t You in the Fall?” popped up in Da Capo’s Best Music Writing 2007 last year (it was originally published in The Guardian), and now the idea, tracking down the 43 former members of the Fall, has been expanded to book-length. Today, The Guardian published another piece by Simpson detailing the arduous process of writing the book, which cost him his car, his health and his girlfriend of 17 years.

Simpson’s book, The Fallen, is out tomorrow. To read the story detailing the book click here.
