Grouper Scores Film Premiering At Sundance This Week
The annual film explosion that is Sundance starts tonight, and runs through the 29th. The LCD Soundsystem documentary is probably the most music-relevant, however, here's some news for fans of ethereal indie songstress Grouper: Her music is used heavily in the film, The Perception of Moving Targets, a film premiering at Sundance this week. The film, described as a "segmenting journey into the dreams of four neighbors," was directed by first-timer Weston Currie, and features music from AIA and Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill.
The trailer for the film is below, and it seems intense. As it should be, if it's using Grouper's music:
