The long wait (which was actually only a couple of months) for more Them Crooked Vultures is now over. The group, which features John Paul Jones, Josh Homme, and Dave Grohl, will release an eponymous album on Geffen on November 17. So far there is still precious little information on whether the trio can maintain translate the energy of their live performance to a recorded medium, but the idea of Grohl drumming is intriguing enough to merit a second look. Here's a tracklisting for the album:
No One Loves Me & Neither Do I
Mind Eraser, No Chaser
New Fang
Dead End Friends
Elephants
Scumbag Blues
Bandoliers
Reptiles
Interlude With Ludes
Warsaw or the First Breath You Take After You Give Up
Caligulove
Gunman
Spinning in Daffodils
The only bad news is that if you like the album, prepare to fly to England to catch the live show. The band recently finished all of its stateside dates until the end of the year. [Pitchfork]
I just caught the show in Philly two weeks ago it was great to see Dave bash the drums again.
