Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen is slowly drip-feeding us tracks from his debut solo EP, Silent Hour/Golden Mile. We’ve already heard “Saint Nothing” from the five-song release, and now comes “Silent Hour.” This is comfortably within the kind of territory we’ve seen Rossen work in before, both in Grizzly Bear and Department of Eagles. Elements of Big Star, a country-ish twang, and Rossen’s yearning vocal all come and go as the track progresses, suggesting Silent Hour/Golden Mile is going to be worth the wait. The EP will be released on March 20 by Warp. Check out “Silent Hour” below.
