Grizzly Bear's Blue Valentine Soundtrack Set For Feb. 1 Release
Movie music blog The Playlist reported that the Grizzly Bear-favoring soundtrack for the Ryan Gosling/Michelle Williams vehicle Blue Valentine will be released through Lakeshore Records on Feb. 1.
Though the Brooklyn Indie folk favorites were initially tapped to compose a score for Blue Valentine, the film's release date was pushed up and Grizzly Bear didn't have time to record original music for the soundtrack. Instead, they offered up instrumental and alternate versions of previously released material, which seemed to suit the dark drama just fine. The track list also features a contributions from Department of Eagles, Penny & the Quarters and Gosling. [Pitchfork]
