Grizzly Bear Name New Album: Veckatimest

Ed Droste’s Twitter updates about the new Grizzly Bear album are providing a mixture of insight and entertainment. The record now appears to be titled Veckatimest (presumably after this island), although there’s still some debate about the final tracklisting. Website One Thirty BPM has done a great job of discerning the truth from the rumors surrounding the record, making it clear that the following tracks are likely to be included, but not necessarily in this order:

Veckatimest is due to be released on May 26 in the U.S., and it looks like Droste is going to tweet his heart out in the intervening months. Latest news on the Grizzly Beat Twitter feed includes opinion on TV on the Radio’s Saturday Night Live appearance and news that an extensive European tour is in the works for the band.
