Grinderman Reveal New Album Details

A few details about the second album from Nick Cave’s Grinderman project have already emerged, and the set of live shows announced to promote the release have been publicized by this poster, which may be one of the all-time great promo shots. Now, further information and a release date for Grinderman 2 have surfaced.

The record will be available on September 14 in North America, and it will be preceded by the release of a single titled “Heathen Child” on August 30. Judging from the set of song titles contained on the album—“Worm Tamer,” “Evil”—it looks like we’re in for another gnarly descent to the depths of Cave’s psyche, although where the track “Kitchenette” fits into this vision is anyone’s guess.
