Back in 2008, Nick Cave promised that there would be a second album from Grinderman, his gloriously scuzzy side-project made up of members of the Bad Seeds. Now, two years after that, it's actually happening.
In an interview with The Quietus, guitarist/violinist Warren Ellis said that the album will simply be called Grinderman 2, and will apparently sound like "stoner rock meets Sly Stone meets Amon Duul."
Whether that mind-boggling description is true or not, Grinderman 2 will be released in America on September 14 via Anti-. A mysterious video featuring slow-motion wolf footage and some odd noises has also popped up over at Grinderman's official website.
