The east coast wins for the next six days. Pterodactyl-like vocalist and Discordance Axis mastermind Jon Chang (pictured) is bringing his two current projects, the caffeinated thrash metal band Hayaino Daisuki and the assaultive grindcore mavens Gridlink, on a mini-tour of six eastern markets (you lucky bastards!). The blink-and-you’ll-miss-it nature of the tour makes a certain amount of meta-sense, in that Chang and his bands could play their entire recorded works and still only be on stage for twenty minutes. Joining them will be the devastating New York grind act ASRA, whose sole album The Way of All Flesh is a bit over twenty minutes. Guaranteed shortest, grindiest tour package of the year. Don’t be late.
