Green Day to Perform on Carson Daly for a Week in June

On His 1000th episode last night, Carson Daly announced that Green Day would be performing for a whole week on his show in June in support of their upcoming album, 21st Century Breakdown, due out on May 15. It's likely, given the format of Daly's musical guest performances of late, that one of the band's concerts will be taped, and then the videos will be split up to be spread out over a week.

But it could be different, since Daly's show was the only late night program that allowed Green Day to play "Jesus of Suburbia" back when American Idiot came out.

In other news, holy crap, Last Call with Carson Daly has been on for a 1000 episodes. [The Audio Perv]
