Somewhat lost in the shuffle of all of this year's great new albums has been a little gem of a folk rock record named Ongiara by Great Lake Swimmers. Not that the band hasn't been out on the road supporting the album. Hell, Great Lake Swimmers has been touring pretty much non-stop since Ongiara came out. September and October will find the band doing much of the same. The band will spend most of those two months touring its native Canada, with a small stretch of U.S. dates sandwiched in-between, then finish the whole shebang up in Chicago. Follow on after the jump for where to catch Tony Dekker and the rest of the Swimmers... 9/12 Ottawa, ON - Barrymore's 9/14 Montreal, QC - La Sala Rossa 9/15 Quebec City, QC - Le Casbah 9/17 Peggy's Cove, NS - Old Red Schoolhouse 9/18 Halifax, NS - St. Matthew's United Church 9/19 Sackville, NB - Brunton Auditorium 9/21 Charlottetown, PE - The Guild 9/28 Guelph, ON - River Run Centre 9/29 Toronto, ON - Phoenix Concert Hall 10/2 New York, NY - Town Hall 10/3 Cambridge, MA - Middle East 10/4 Philadelphia, PA - Venue TBA 10/6 Atlanta, GA - Earl 10/9 Dallas, TX - Cavern 10/10 Austin, TX - Stubb's 10/12 Phoenix, AZ - Modified Arts 10/13 Los Angeles, CA - Spaceland 10/14 San Francisco, CA - Cafe du Nord 10/16 Portland, OR - Holocene 10/17 Seattle, WA - Tractor Tavern 10/19 Victoria, BC - Lucky Bar 10/20 Vancouver, BC - Richard's on Richards 10/22 Calgary, AB - Quincy's on 7th 10/23 Edmonton, AB - McDougall United Church 10/24 Saskatoon, SK - Lydia's 10/25 Winnipeg, MB - West End Cultural Center 10/28 Chicago, IL - Schuba's
