Grammy audience its third smallest ever

Finally: some bad press about the Grammys that can’t be blamed on Herbie Hancock. According to the Associated Press, “Preliminary estimates Monday indicate the Grammy Awards telecast was watched by 17.5 million people,” the third-lowest audience in the show’s fifty year history. AP further reports that the draw was “down from the 20 million viewers who watched last year,” and that “the 2006 awards, with 17 million viewers, is the Grammy low point.” [AP]

I blame this on people who illegally download music. Why watch the grammys when you can just download the album?
