Disappointing news: In an interview with NME, Blur’s guitarist, Graham Coxon, says there are “no plans” to continue the reunion tour, where the band played a handful of shows to U.K. audiences over the summer. For those awaiting news of U.S. tour dates to see the seminal Britpop band, Coxon’s words imply the time has come to relax your Ticketmaster trigger finger. “Everyone’s slipped back into what they do when the Blur creature isn’t heaving around,” Coxon says.
Although a skittish Coxon expresses satisfaction with the tour and his bandmates, he pointedly leaves frontman Damon Albarn out of the conversation. Perhaps all is still not well between the two. Or, perhaps they were afraid of wearing out their welcome. Either way, fans living in North America will have to keep Blur reunion shows in their hope chest a bit longer.

Well, it's a good thing that I followed my intuition and flew to London for the Hyde park shows. My ticket trigger fingers are crossed that Blur will reconsider this decision. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE (down on my knees)... and make sure to do a show in San Francisco, Thank you!
