From NME: Ever wanted to read the autobiography of a rock and roll cartoon character? Now's your chance. Purported to be the first audiobook singles ever created, Gorillaz will release segments of their autobiography on iTunes beginning on December 4. Read by actor Joss Ackland with cameos from the band, new chapters will be available every subsequent Monday in December. After all, nobody in their right mind would want to read the autobiography of a band comprised of hokey cartoon characters. Hopefully the memoir will clear up some of the persistant rumors that have dogged the band, including Murdoc Niccols' formaldehyde addiction, Noodles' failed audition with the Mouseketeers, 2D's childhood in a Phuket sweatshop and Russel Hobbs' month-long tryst with Winnie the Pooh.
