Gorillaz Haven't Actually Broken Up

We learned -- well, we thought we learned -- two days ago that the Gorillaz had broken up. This came after U.K. magazine People printed the following:

“Jamie became frustrated at how much time Damon was giving to his many other projects,” reads the article. “Damon, meanwhile, was less than impressed with Jamie’s party lifestyle. With relations so bad they have decided to go their separate ways.”

There were, of course, no official sources cited and neither Damon Albarn nor Jamie Hewlett were attributed for any of the article's quotes. As such, we shouldn't be that shocked to learn that the animated band has, in fact, not broken up. Pitchfork received word from representatives of the Gorillaz that the band is still together, "alive and well and misbehaving in London W10."

Phew.
