Gorillaz and Alan Moore Team Up For Opera

With how much the dude talks about his distaste for his comics being made into movies, this move by Watchmen and V For Vendetta creator Alan Moore seems surprising. In an interview with Mustard, Moore said that Damon Albarn's cartoon band Gorillaz is "planning for me to do the libretto on their next opera project." In return the sprites will be contributing some pages to Moore's new magazine Dodgem Logic.

 

Earlier this year Pos of De La Soul gave Entertainment Weekly what seems to be contradictory report, saying that the seminal rap group would be collaborating with Gorillaz again for their new record, which was tentatively titled Plastic Beach. If both of these ideas could somehow be part of the same project, that would be awesome. [Pitchfork]
