When Kanye West shared the album art for the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music's Cruel Summer, we thought the details had been solidified, including the release date. Apparently, we assumed too soon.
According to G.O.O.D. Music's Malik Yusef, the album's release date has been pushed back to September 18, two weeks after it was meant to drop. After being asked for an update from a fan on Twitter, Yusef tweeted the following:
"Yeah it looks like a push back, on #CRUELSUMMER but our wish has 4 additional features has MOSt DEFinitely been granted"
Though this sounds pretty legit, it has not been confirmed by Def Jam, the record's label. But if it's getting pushed back because Mos Def wants to contribute, it's worth it, right? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
