Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden is writing a memoir at the ripe old age of thirty. While many of his fans would no doubt like to hear all the scandalous details of late night trips to Hot Topic and exactly what was so traumatic during his high school years that he spent his twenties writing about it, this will be a different kind of rocker tome. Madden tells People that the book will be concerned with the "big changes" in his life, including moving to L.A. and having kids. He goes on to say that "if I put a book out, I want it to be something that matters to me. It has to be real; you can't just put a book out to put a book out." Despite his promise of a deep reading experience, a campaign should be started yesterday to force him to include at least one chapter about the band's appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. He could maybe dish a little on whether that huge Garfield balloon is cool up close or something. [People]
