Goner Records, the Memphis based record label and record store, which has put out great LP and 7" records from artists such as King Kahn and the BBQ Show, Jay Reatard, and the Eddy Current Suppression Ring among others, have been holding ongoing auctions to benefit the cancer-stricken four-year-old daughter of Goner co-founder Zac Ives, the adorable Anna (pictured here via Goner Records).
The list of items is large and varied, from rare records to clothing to paintings to public services, and while there are many treasures all going towards a good cause, there are among them a few notable items that may grab the music loving eye. One of the marquee auctions comes from head Mountain Goat John Darnielle, who is offering a guest list spot for his entire solo tour this spring with John Vanderslice. For the record nerds out there, a bevy of exciting items awaits, such as a first pressing of the Vivian Girls self-titled LP from the original batch on Mauled By Tigers, and a rare gold 7" containing my favorite Blank Dogs track ever, "Yellow Mice Sleep."
But the list goes on and on and on, and all auctions end tomorrow night, February 2, so move on over to the auctions site and help out an unfortunate situation with some great schwag: Goner Records auctions for Anna Ives.
