French metal quartet Gojira is all set to release its hotly anticipated fourth album The Way Of All Flesh on October 14th on Prosthetic Records. Quoth frontman Joe Duplantier about the album: "It's about death itself…It's also about the immortality of the soul. That's the main subject for us. Since we started to play and release albums, we've always talked about the same thing: the soul.” Unexpectedly high-minded for a death metal band? Yes indeedy, and it’s a path that the spiritually-inclined, environmentally-aware band has followed since its inception. Then there’s also Gojira’s trademark god-stomping heaviness, on full display on the new track “Vacuity,” now available on the band's MySpace page.
