Gloria Estefan First Woman To Top Billboard's Latin Songs Charts Ever

Here's a stat that seems pretty impossible but is true: 25 years after Billboard started the list, Gloria Estefan has become the first woman to top Billboard's Latin Songs chart. Seriously: In 25 years, there has never been a woman with the biggest selling/most played Latin song, until Estefan's "Hotel Nacional." I guess Jennifer Lopez, even though she was lumped in with the "Latin Explosion" in the '90s, was never Latin enough? This story just seems sort of impossible. Read more at Billboard
