Fest mania: going global in New York City

Globalization doesn't mean all bad things like local jobs lost to offshoring and easier communication for terror networks. It also means greater exposure to various strains of great music around the globe. A lot of those disparate genres will come together at New York City's Webster Hall on January 13 for the fifth annual globalFEST. On the bill are acts including Mexican folk rock outfit Pistolera, American "newgrass" band Crooked Still, and Hungarian Gypsy band Little Cow. Head to the festival's website for more information on other acts that will be in attendance and how to get tickets so you can be too.
