All the touring undertaken to promote Glasvegas’ eponymous debut album may have taken its toll on the band. Drummer Caroline McKay has decided to quit the group, although she hasn’t outlined her reasons why. Her primitive drumming style was a key component to the Glasvegas sound, and will be extremely difficult to replace.
Singer James Allan, who briefly went missing last year, has given a brief statement about the departure, saying: "We are really sad that Caroline has decided to leave as she is one of the coolest drummers around. But we respect her decision and say goodbye with all our love and luck.”
The next stop for the band is the unlikely surroundings of Los Angeles, where they are recording the follow-up to that debut record.

It seems like it's always something with these guys, eh? Have we already heard the best from Glasvegas?
I'm actually fine with her leaving. There's only so much you can do with that style of drumming.
good. maybe she'll learn to play now.
