Electronic musician, Girl Talk has been the centrepiece of many discussions concerncing sampling and the ethics of the activity. These discussions will almost certainly start taking a huge turn in Girl Talk's favour as a new report shows that the songs sampled on his 2010 album "All Day" saw a sharp rise in sales after the record was released. Over 350 songs were sampled on "All Day" and W. Michael Schuster, a Texan lawyer, investigated them all.
Despite there being no official correlation between the length of the samples and their sales incrase, Schuster still says the findings show an "objective financial review of fair use and the market effect".
