In an interview over at Pitchfork, Greg Gillis, known to you and me as Girl Talk, spilled the beans about the release of his new album. As you already know, it’s called Feed the Animals. But what you didn’t know, is that the album will hit the web on “Wednesday or Thursday” Gillis said.

Gillis said that the reason for getting the album out so quickly is because a lot of the album is made up of current pop hits. He also says he’s not worried about clearing
the samples, citing his old stand-by, the good old fair use laws.

Gillis promises a full U.S. tour in the fall, but in the meantime, he’s got a smattering of festival dates, including sets at Oya, All Points West, Lollapalooza, Roskilde, and Capitol Hill Block Party.
