Gigwise picks 2008's 30 best album covers

Gigwise has chosen their picks for the 30 best album covers of 2008, and the cover to your left, James' Hey Ma, is their pick. Apparently Gigwise feels that this is some commentary of violence vs. childhood, but to me it seems like a canned controversy, the type that gets people hot and bothered in the land of questionable dentistry.

There pick for number two is th one that should be their number one: Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III, since it took the usual hip-hop album cover trope of putting a picture of the rapper as a youth on the cover, and took it previously unimaginable heights. For the full list, go here.
