Gigantour to rid environment of crappy bands, Mustaine says

Megadeth’s Gigantour will hit the North America roads beginning this April, and supporting bands for the traveling festival have been announced. Scandinavian death metalers In Flames, Finland’s Children of Bodom, Arizona’s Job For A Cowboy and Oakland’s High on Fire are on this year’s bill. This is Gigantour’s third year.

“I think that in a small way, we are cleaning up the environment of crappy bands,” Dave Mustaine said. “All of the people that really love this kind of music know that they can count on these bands to deliver the goods this year.”

There will be VIP ticket packages (available here) that allow fans to have a personal photo with Megadeth at an exclusive meet-and-greet session and receive an official tour laminate and guitar picks among other trinkets.

That lineup is better than previous Gigantours, for sure, way less prog-tastic than years past. I'm sick of seeing In Flames and Children of Bodom on tour packages though...so I'd probably skip it.
